Well, there was an bombing of a clinic a mile from my house on my birthday. It was a clinic where I had escorted and I knew the police officer that was killed. That was the worst.

It was. I remember feeling the apartment rattle, but didn't think much of it until my mom called. It was bad, a bad scene. I helped organize the pro-choice response to it, and retired from activism for a while.

ooh, i went to the day at the 16th st baptist church when they had all the speakers & gloria steinem. i was so excited to see her in person, but was honestly a bit disappointed when she spoke. i didn't feel like it was really in line with the topic at hand. like she was there for her own agenda.

Dude, I was two inches from her and nearly had a fangirl moment. I held it in with great restraint. I thought her speech was okay. I did think the women who owned The Otherside bar in Atlanta that also got bombed by this fucker were more compelling.
