Writer's Block: Close Call
May. 21st, 2009 10:28 pm[Error: unknown template qotd]It's gotta be the time my mom flipped our Volkswagon Rabbit into a cornfield when I was 12. The car was completely destroyed (I later found out those were the worst cars to wreck at the time), and my mom and sister had minor injuries.
I had a big cut on my collarbone/base of neck that eventually took about 17 stiches. I say this was lucky because of the placement. An inch higher, and it would've gotten my jugular. So I'm very proud of that scar.
The funniest thing about the whole experience was fineally getting home, going to sleep with this giant bandage on my neck, and waking up that morning to find all the neighborhood kids gathered around to gawk. My sister had let them in.
