(1) The one that Adam came the closest to marrying besides Nik was Sauli, since he got the ring and they had been together a longer time than anyone else.

(2) Brent still came over and played with Adam a few times after Adam wanted to play wedding, but Adam felt kind of hurt and rejected and it wasn't the same. And then Brent's family moved away. Adam wondered what happened to him for years afterwards.

(3) When Adam and Nik do get married, Brad and Tommy nearly have a tug-of-war over who gets to be the best man, and host the bachelor party. Adam's not-so-secretly thrilled and Nik has to fight not to roll his eyes.
