Writer's Block: Forgive and forget?
Oct. 26th, 2009 03:08 am[Error: unknown template qotd]Most of the time, it doesn't even make it to forgive and forget, I barely notice the infraction. But I can hold grudges, in RL and in internet friendships. I once didn't speak to a favorite cousin for almost two years. He judged me for moving in with my now-husband. I'm glad we got over it and had a great visit the Christmas before his death-I would have hated it if we had been fighting during that time.
There are people I've known on lj (three, to be exact) who I used to like and now would cheerfully punch in the face if I saw them in person. Luckily that's unlikely to happen.
Basically, the only way to get to that point with me is to reject my friendship, hurt my friends, or be a total holier than thou asshole. To get me back, a sincere apology and a refusal to get all moral about my life choices is the way to go.
