So Susan had her cancer surgery, and she didn't get a room. They kept her for observation on a gurney and then sent her home after 24 hours. When she got home (50 miles away from the 1st hospital), she had a seizure, and had to go to her local hospital to get treated. Now she's back home again.

Ain't no beds. Ain't no beds.

I wanted to come over, but now isn't the time. So I'm just on amazon trying to find a nice gift basket.

sending good wishes for your sister - it's shameful she couldn't stay at the hospital long enough to ensure there'd be no problems.

One of the doctors on duty said she should file a complaint. That he'd never seen someone come in for a double masectomy and not get a room.

I found a nice basket that wasn't very woo-woo. Some of them were woo-woo. But this one had a tasteful bee theme and chicken soup mix.

Not only that, she managed to catch something that I really hope isn't strep throat. She's so vulnerable to infection right now. But we have talked and she liked her gift basket. She's getting a lot of them.
