Writer's Block: Concert mania
Oct. 6th, 2009 03:08 am[Error: unknown template qotd]I haven't seen the New York Dolls, and am willing to take the revived version. I actually really enjoy their new records, anyway. I found out too late twice that they were playing in close by states, and nearly dropped everything to gas up the car and go.
Also, having never seen Hanoi Rocks will hurt me the rest of my life. The fact that I was 14 and their drummer died before their show in Atlanta doesn't help. I know it wasn't my fault, but it doesn't help.
From Birmingham, travel to Atlanta for a rock show is no big deal if gas is reasonable. I've done it many times. A lot of bands simply aren't going to play B'ham if Atlanta is on the list. So I'll go where the bands go.
