Writer's Block: Old friends

[Error: unknown template qotd]I mostly use lj to make new friends, but now having Facebook in my life is connecting me with my past. Out of a lot of boring people who have settled down to office jobs, kids, and lots of Jesus, I have found at least one winner. A girl I went to church with over 20 years ago is still the wonderful person she's always been. She's raising a daugher who has cancer and is sick herself. And she gave me her number because she was worried about *me*. I promised her that as soon I was germ-free, I was going to visit. And I am.

I do have one person I never want to see again who keeps popping up every six months like herpes. She's gotta go.
