Been writing my goddamn ass off these past few days. I've been a part of the getyourwordsout community for-holy shit-about nine years. I didn't do so great last month-might be that surgery thing. I was about 7,000 words short. So I got a collection of quote h/c prompts that a friend gave me, and started to try to make it up before today.

I came really close, with over 5,000 words written in three days. Now I have a one-shot and a story in my small-town verse. I'm still at it. I've decided to see how far I can go on this prompt list, and I have to do it in order too.

I feel I'm going down a 1D rabbit hole lately too

It's easy to get heavy into 1D, since there's lots of fic and while Larry is the biggest, every pairing as its fans and serious writers. The fandom's big enough where someone good's going to be there for nearly every pairing.

On the other hand, it is also slowly dying off. They've been on hiatus for 2 1/2 years. They're all still in the public eye, but separately. I don't even know anyone else who is currently writing Lilo-everything I read was written a few years ago. Everyone's going into BTS, I think.

(Full disclosure, I think that Rap Monster guy in BTS is a cutie.)

Where has the sudden BTS love come from? They seem to have come out of nowhere and everyone's flailing over them but I don't get what triggered it

Far as I can tell, it's coming from their ARMY. Their fan group cannot really be matched or fucked with. And I do like them and think they're talented, so I think some of the credit goes to the boys as well.

I have no problem writing outside pairings with 1D members, btw. I've got two fics involving Niall and Shawn Mendes.

I don't think I've ever seen a band just suddenly appear without them, without like a festival or awards appearence or something to spur it on. I've heard one song and they sounded pretty good but still it surprises me.

Oh cool, yeah I just saw a vid a few days ago of Niall and Shawn and it was like... One of the gayest things I've ever seen

I KNOW. Someone made gifs of the video of them talking and the smartass put the Sean Cody.com porn logo on it. And I was watching it and thinking "holy shit you ain't wrong".
