Writer's Block: Mentor Me

[Error: unknown template qotd]I pretty much had to struggle it through by myself, and used musicians as my guiding light. The only problem is, music is a form of fantasy, and it's hard to base one's life on that. I did get some worthwhile mentoring and advice later in life-mainly from the bartenders and drag queens at gay bars. They never steer you wrong.

I like this. I can relate. To the whole thing. Except for the bartenders and drag queens at gay bars thing. I haven't yet had the privilege to seek out their advice.
